no. The types and extent of damage very greatly. Some types of damage
and very extensive damage may result in the inability to recover data

Question: I reformatted my Smart Media Card. Can
the pictures be recovered? Answer: In many
cases, yes! We have found that most reformatting is actually a "quick
format" which does not overwrite previous data. "Long format",
however, is destructive and may not be recoverable. |
Question: I left my USB Key Drive in the pocket
of my pants and they went thru the washing machine. Should I plug
it in to see if it works? Can Secure Data Technology get my data
back? Answer: Inserting any solid state device
in a USB port or other adpater, after getting wet, would not be adviseable.
USB ports and some adapters provide power to devices. Power and moisture
don't mix. The results could damage the solid state device and the
computer. With special handling, we have successfully recovered data
from this situation. |
Question: I can view the pictures on my Compact
Flash card when it's in my camera, but I can't get the card to be
seen when I insert it in the adapter attached to my computer. Do I
need to have the data recovered? Answer: The
problem is likely just a compatibility issue with your adapter. Try
a different adapter, perhaps a friend has one he or she will let you
use. If you still have problems, you may want to use our service just
to get the pictures secured to CDRom. |
